Driving around with the windows down
we're taking a trip all over town
nothing on our minds as yet
except this person we just met

Picked him up back at the corner
he needed a ride across the border
well we're not going down that way
but if you'd like you're welcome to stay with us

Said you got any plans for the day
we say not yet but now we may
so he directed us to this place
it was cool said the look on his face

Stepped into this atmosphere
a welcoming scene did appear
punks and skinheads mods and jocks
skaters and freaks all there for the show of the week

Miles away from home and still we're mashing it up
and the truth is clear
why we were brought to this town
to realize it takes all kinds to get down

It may seem unlikely that we felt at home
even though we weren't with our own
you don't need an x on your hand to be my friend
cause we're all in this until the end
