I live for the sun You say you need showers I live in a concrete jungle Your home is on an island I complain of the constant rain You say you fear for hurricanes I dream of walks by the ocean You wonder bout the city life motion I pray for an early morning sea breeze Whilst you build sand castles on your knees You say you’d get on a bus to see me I’d rather sail a boat to greet thee
I remember it clear the day you appeared our eyes did meet it felt so sweet the air was filled with scented flowers that moment it seemed like ours
Our conversations on the phone are my nights your days are just begun letters you’ve been sending me are now my books of poetry we can’t yet reminisce of walks in the park or secret/ kisses in the dark but what we have is oh so rare i feel it love is in the air
